** We would like to make everyone aware of the associations the word 'Aspergers' and it's derivatives have with the Nazi party.  Asperger Syndrome was named after the paediatrician and professor Hans Asperger who was a member of several organizations affiliated with the Nazi regime, publicly agreed with race hygiene policies, and actively cooperated with the child 'euthanasia' program.  We at ND Renegade realise that many autistic people still use these terms to describe themselves, but we wanted to make sure that the history of the terms is noted.  There are other autistic people that dislike the heirarchy and separatism involved in using the term 'Aspergers'.
